Cancer Research Trust NZ has generously supported me through a PG Diploma in Health Sciences and now Masters of Advanced nursing. My qualifications and experience have enabled me to work as a clinical nurse specialist in palliative care supporting families and primary care providers to care for loved ones in their homes. (I look forward to completing my Masters of Advanced Nursing at the end of 2015). Advanced nursing qualifications with a palliative care focus contributes to strengthening the palliative care workforce through support of colleagues and sharing of knowledge to ensure the best support possible for those choosing to die at home. Cancer Research Trust funding has made this possible.
