Donations / Bequests Cancer Research Trust NZ is a not-for-profit, registered charity. The Trust is the second largest cancer research-funding charity in New Zealand. To carry out our work, we rely on the generous support of everyday New Zealanders through donations and bequests. Despite huge advances in both treatment and prevention, cancer continues to cut short too many lifetimes before they can be fulfilled.
By leaving a gift in your will, you are giving hope to the hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders whose lives are affected by cancer. Only through innovative, high quality research can we facilitate discoveries today that will become treatments, or cures, tomorrow.
A gift in your will to Cancer Research Trust NZ is a much-needed future contribution towards our life-saving work. We are committed to improving the health of all New Zealanders, and ensuring that the incidence of and mortality from cancer continues to decline. Your gift through a bequest will help keep New Zealand at the forefront of cancer research.
All operating expenses for the Trust are met from investment income, so every cent of every dollar of your bequest will be applied to the work of the Trust.
If you choose to leave Cancer Research Trust NZ a gift in your will, the following wording is suggested: “I give to Cancer Research Trust NZ the sum of $___ (or a percentage, or the residue of my Estate, or a description of the property or asset given) for its general purposes and declare that the receipt of the Executive Director of the Foundation or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge for my Trustee”.
